InnoHK ABIC Strategic Innovation Collaboration Ceremony 2025
On 24 November 2025, the InnoHK Advanced Biomedical Instrumentation Centre (ABIC) welcomed distinguished leaders, researchers, and industry partners to the ‘InnoHK ABIC Strategic Innovation Collaboration Ceremony 2025’, held at HKSTP. The event marked a pivotal milestone as ABIC enters its new five-year phase of scientific innovation and translational development.
The ceremony brought together esteemed guests from the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC), HKSTP, Research Institute of Tsinghua University in Shenzhen (RITS), and Surrich International Company Limited (Surrich), alongside local and global academic scholars from Harvard University, the Technical University of Munich, the University of Hong Kong, and City University of Hong Kong.
Key highlights included:
1. Strategic Signing Ceremony with RITS to advance the industrial development of ABIC’s Brain-Computer Interface Project, strengthening Hong Kong-Shenzhen scientific synergy.
2. Commencement of the ‘ABIC-Wuxi Co-Innovation Centre’, in collaboration with the Wuxi Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Centre, dedicated to accelerating technology translation and industry deployment.
3. Showcases of ABIC-incubated innovation projects, including AxileLife, Inhalixir, IVECS, and Multera, demonstrating ABIC’s diverse impact from fertility care and respiratory therapeutics to ophthalmic treatments and PCR microfluidics diagnostics.
