ABIC Pitching Corner 2026 Round 1: Advancing Translational Innovation in Biomedical Science

The InnoHK Advanced Biomedical Instrumentation Centre (ABIC) successfully hosted the ABIC Pitching Corner Round 1 on 2 March 2026, bringing together emerging researchers to showcase high-impact biomedical breakthroughs primed for clinical translation and commercial market entries.

The session featured six promising research projects spanning pharmaceutical formulation, nanomedicine, immune monitoring, organoid standardization, advanced drug delivery systems, and next-generation intracoronary imaging technologies. Each team delivered focused presentations followed by rigorous discussions, reflecting ABIC’s commitment to fostering a culture in which scientific excellence embraces dimensional entrepreneurial visions from laboratory to clinic.

We are deeply honored to have welcomed Prof. SUO Zhigang, Allen E. and Marilyn M. Puckett Professor of Mechanics and Materials at Harvard University, and Prof. XU Lei, Professor of Department of Physics at CUHK, who generously dedicated their time to attending the full session and provided thoughtful, strategic insights with comprehensive commentary on each project. Their encouragement and guidance offered valuable perspectives to ABIC young researchers as they take important steps toward transforming scientific discoveries into practical biomedical solutions.

The ABIC Pitching Corner reflects its ongoing mission to bridge frontier research with real-world clinical and industrial practices. We are proud of our early-career investigators for their efforts, courage, and commitment to advancing translational science.

ABIC looks forward to supporting the continued growth of these innovative projects and to the next round of visionary ideas.
