Advancing the HK-SZ Tech Frontier: ABIC at “HSITP Incubation Programme Launch Ceremony”

The InnoHK Advanced Biomedical Instrumentation Centre (ABIC) is proud to have participated in the “HSITP Incubation Programme Launch Ceremony” held on 30 March 2026, marking a pivotal milestone forward for the Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Innovation and Technology ecosystem.

From >750 global applications, 108 high-potential technology companies were selected for this inaugural cohort, with more than half originating from outside Hong Kong, highlighting Hetao platform’s growing reputation as a premier international hub for strategic innovation.

We are especially honored to announce that three ABIC innovation teams have been successfully admitted into the programme, each representing the frontier of biomedical engineering and science, embodying ABIC’s commitment to deliver interdisciplinary innovation and clinically impactful research:

• Dr. Gary Ng, Scientist (A.I. based Metabolomics for Drug Discovery)
• Dr. Zitong Shao, Post-doctoral Fellow (Novel Inhalable Drug Formulations)
• Dr. Eric Han, Post-doctoral Fellow (Microfluidics for Advanced Cell Therapy)

By integrating capital investment with deep industry expertise and translational mentorship, this collaborative framework creates an ideal environment for nurturing the next generation of biomedical leaders.
