Breaking Barriers in Cell Therapy Innovation: ABIC Wins Falling Walls Lab Hong Kong 2026

InnoHK Advanced Biomedical Instrumentation Centre (ABIC) is delighted to share that our Research Associate, Ms. Denise WONG Chung Wai, was named the Winner of Falling Walls Lab Hong Kong on 5 June 2026, with her inspiring presentation, “Breaking the Wall of Cell Therapy Discovery Bottlenecks”.

As the Hong Kong winner, Denise will advance to the global Falling Walls Lab Finale at the Falling Walls Science Summit 2026, taking place from 6-9 November in Berlin, Germany, where finalists from around the world will present their breakthrough ideas before an international audience of leading scientists, innovators, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and Nobel Prize laureates.

Since 2009, the Falling Walls Science Summit has brought together the world’s brightest minds to identify and overcome barriers in science, technology, and society. The event serves as a premier global platform for breakthrough innovations with the potential to create meaningful impact for humanity.

This achievement reflects ABIC’s commitment to fostering the next generation of biomedical innovators and advancing transformative technologies that address pressing healthcare challenges.
